The Nov 28th chicks were moved into the coop on December 21 and placed in the outdoor chick coop. The chicks have been free to roam in the coop with the big birds since last week.
Eggs were placed in the incubator on Jan 25th. We expect them to hatch on Feb 14.
I have been a bit tardy on posting on this page. We had a visit by a model school committee. In preparation for the visit, I made sure I had a hatching of chickens. We had 10 chicks hatch at the end of November in time for the Dec 1 visit. These chicks stayed in the classroom until winter break so they could be cared for by students over the break. The chicks were moved on December 20th out into the chick cage in the Coop.
